Well not only did we do loads of full passes but we finished the weekend with a new personal best! Unfortunately we didn't break the six second barrier, but 7.02 seconds at 194 mph will do quite nicely though. Our weekend started on Thursday night with Hunch and myself setting up the pit. We got there just in time as we had the last available space in the Super Pro pit for our trailer and pit tent, any racer arriving after us either had to squeeze into a tiny space or pit away from the class. The team arrived early on Friday morning as we had to fit replacement parts that the blower belt had damaged when breaking at the Easter Thunderball. We then had our first challenge, the made to measure cables for the throttle and fuel shut off were too short, not by just a half inch here or there but by several feet! When you give a company your old cables as patterns and ask them to make new ones you expect to get what you asked for. Mysterious was not at all happy, but with his experience and lateral thinking managed to hook them up and we were ready to run. Next Page
