It seems Australia has that effect on people. Max has been there for nearly a month now and it's clear from talking with her that she'd move there tomorrow if she could. From what you say the drag racing is amazing. I hope you managed to make some good contacts.

Guys - I am sorry but I am not coming back home. This place is truly awesome. The racing track is one of the best in the world and makes S/Pod look like a back water racing facility. The cars are outstanding and very fast. Mostly blown A motors - infact - nearly all of em. Pits are a dream come true and every racer I spoke too bent over backwards to be nice.
Fearless, Please put Nosferatu on a boat and get your a** over here - you would never regret doing this.
As you can probably tell - I have fallen in love with Oz - see you all when I get back.

Good to see you've arrived! Must say I'm more than a bit envious about the Fuel Funny Car event!

Sadly I missed Peter Crane's 5, but I did see Don Garlits. He was a real boyhood hero, and I simply couldn't believe it when I was standing in the pits beside him as he worked on his rail. Oh happy days!

Well, that last post was certainly interesting.... So, going back to a bit more history on British Drag Racing, was anyone else at Santa Pod to see Peter Crane make the first 5 second pass in Stormbringer (against the truly legendary Don Garlits)? What a day that was. Then you have the first 4 second pass from Barry Sheavills some 20 odd years later. Peter Crane at 5.97 and Barry at 4.97. Spooky eh?

Yes, I agree, it's deathly silent. I assume everyone is waiting for the season to start before they drown us in a torrent of posts!

It's a bit quiet in here, isn't it. Ho hum. Who has got some interesting news or something to say. I took a walk out of my front door today and into my garage. There lies, beneath the sheets, Nosferatu himself. I caressed his dark body, gently touched his enourmous blower and absorbed his odour through every pore of my skin. Does that make me gay?
